A Legal Paraprofessional is a licensed legal professional in Arizona who can provide legal services within a defined scope—similar to how a nurse practitioner works in medicine. LPs are regulated by the Arizona Supreme Court under ACJA §7-210.
Yes—within their licensed practice areas, LPs may advise clients, prepare documents, and take other steps without attorney supervision.
Arizona LPs may appear in court within their authorized scope of practice. In our practice, if a matter must be filed in Superior Court, we associate a trusted attorney so your case continues seamlessly.
LP: Licensed to provide legal advice and services independently within specific areas.
Paralegal: Works under an attorney’s supervision and may not give legal advice or accept cases independently.
LDP: May help fill out forms you choose, but cannot give legal advice or draft custom legal documents.
Everyday civil issues such as personal injury guidance, contract and small-claims disputes, landlord/tenant issues, debt collection matters, and protective orders/injunctions. (If court filing requires it, we associate an attorney for continuity.)
Yes. Most LP's offer legal services at a much lower fee schedule, sometimes half the cost of an attorney.
That’s the point. We translate procedure into checklists, timelines, and next steps so you always know what’s happening and why.
No. When attorney involvement is required (e.g., certain Superior Court filings), we associate a trusted attorney so your matter continues without disruption.
No. DIY sites can provide forms but not legal advice for your situation. LPs can advise, draft, and guide you—within a licensed scope. LDPs (and form services) cannot give legal advice.
